The Visit Planner No fine print, just the agreement. Below is what you can expect from us, what we ask of you, and how Family Plus works.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
The Visit Planner and Wie Gaat Er Op Bezoek are offered by Luuk de Bruin, registered at Hochstraße 24, 52538 Selfkant, Germany. Reachable at hello@thevisitplanner.com.
These terms apply as soon as you create an account or use the planner.
The Visit Planner is a shared calendar that lets a family spread out visits to a grandparent. You create a family, share the family password, and everyone who has it can plan visits and see who is going when.
It is a coordination tool, not a care service. We do not check on your grandparent and we alert nobody when a visit falls through.
Whoever creates the family is the admin. They can change the settings, pay for Family Plus and delete the whole family.
Anyone with the family password gets in. There is no separate account per member — that is exactly what keeps the barrier low, and equally the reason to share the password only with your own family. Treat it carefully; who you give it to is your call and your responsibility. If you think someone else has it, change it in settings.
The planner is free: one grandparent, the shared calendar, and as many family members as you like.
Family Plus costs € 2 per month or € 20 per year. That is the total price; nothing is added at checkout. Plus lets you add several grandparents, put notes and photos on a visit, view statistics, export a schedule as a PDF and appoint more than one admin.
Families who used the planner before Family Plus existed keep every feature for free. There is nothing you need to do.
Payment runs through Stripe. We never see your card details.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Stripe emails you the invoice.
If a charge fails, Stripe retries it over a few weeks. During that time you keep access to Family Plus — you have, after all, paid for the period that is running. We let you know, so you can update your payment details.
You can cancel at any time, with the button in your account. There is no notice period and no fee.
After cancelling, Family Plus runs until the end of the period you have already paid for. The family then returns to the free version. Nothing is thrown away: existing notes and photos stay readable, you just cannot add new ones.
We do not refund the remainder of a period, unless the right of withdrawal below applies or the fault is ours.
As a consumer you have fourteen days to change your mind after taking out a subscription. Within that period you can cancel without giving a reason and get your money back. An email to hello@thevisitplanner.com is enough.
Family Plus is a digital service that starts working immediately. By taking out the subscription you expressly ask us to begin straight away, and you agree that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully supplied. If you cancel within fourteen days having already used Plus, we refund the part you have not used.
For the free version there is nothing to withdraw from: you can delete the family whenever you want.
We do our best to keep the planner reachable, but we promise no uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, an outage at a supplier or a mistake of our own can interrupt the service temporarily.
Keep your own copy of anything you truly cannot lose. With Family Plus you can export the schedule as a PDF.
We are liable without limit for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, and for damage to life, body or health. Otherwise our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the damage occurred.
Mandatory statutory consumer rights are not limited by this.
We keep developing the planner, so features may change. If we raise the price or change something material in these terms, we tell you by email at least thirty days in advance. If you disagree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
We can end an account if the service is abused or used against these terms. Except in serious cases we first send a warning and a chance to put it right. If you are paying for Family Plus at that moment, you get the unused part back.
German law applies to this agreement, because the service is offered from a German sole trader business. If you are a consumer living in the Netherlands or another EU country, you keep the full protection of the mandatory rules of your own country.
The European Commission runs an online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We would rather just sort it out together — email hello@thevisitplanner.com and we will look into it.
